Before beginning this scenario, do a Global Level Check and then a Level Check!

In next week’s class you will have to wake up 4 mascots coming from different countries.

To wake them up you must say “hello” in their language. To help you doing this task you are going to ask your parents, grandparents or any relatives if they know how to say “hello” in one or several of the 3 languages (or in one language of their choice). Ask them to teach you how to pronounce the word(s) correctly by making you repeat it several times and make them write down the word under the mascot on the following worksheet. You can also ask them if they know other words in these languages or things interesting to know about the mascot’s country or even if they have pictures. We will then create a poster on the mascots, which will include all your findings. At the end-of- year-school party, you will present the poster to the other pupils and to your family.
