We eat junk food because it gives us happiness and get out of our reality. For no eating junk food and however keep us happy, we must eat foods that give us serotonin, the hormone of happiness, which helps us to be more relaxed, less nervous and more calm.
What is serotonin?
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter wich is directly related to our mood, with our levels of happiness. For this reason this hormone helps us to have a good mood, to sleep better, it makes us feel calm, it gives us peace of mind and makes us live longer.
Our brain take this hormone through an amino acid, tryptophan. In order for our brain to absorb this amino acid and transform it into serotonin, we must take carbohydrates, but no alone!!! no only carbohydrates give serotonin, always together with food wich contain tryptophan.
